Stop Croydon Council Dumping Their Congestion on Crystal Palace and Anerley.
Labour-run Croydon Council recently took the decision to introduce new on restrictions on a number of roads which border the Borough of Bromley. These roads include Sylvan Hill, Stambourne Way, Fox Hill, Lancaster Road, Woodvale Avenue and Albert Road/ Eldon Road.
Croydon Council have reduced access to these roads meaning more congestion coming into Crystal Palace and Anerley. It is feared that this will also add much more congestion to the triangle. One Labour councillor in Croydon has warned these changes will “decimate” the triangle. This means more congestion and more pollution in Crystal Palace, Penge and Anerley.
While we welcome Croydon Council's decision to remove the barriers - allowing emergence service vehicles and residents to get into the street - we continue to campaign for the removal of the scheme.
